## My Story

I’ve spent most of my life traveling from state to state, following work, meeting people, making mistakes, and taking roads I never planned to take. People have asked if I could do it all over again, would I change anything. My answer is no. Every road, every state, every person, every goodbye, and every choice helped make me the man I am today. That’s where my songs come from. I don’t write to make everything perfect, and my songs may not always rhyme where somebody thinks they should. I’m telling my stories the way I remember them. Sometimes it’s a highway at two in the morning, an old friend, a woman I loved, rain on the camper roof, a job I hated, or some little moment that stayed with me for twenty years. If the rhyme comes naturally, I’ll take it. If it doesn’t, the story wins.
